How to nurture children's motor skills? [Sold Out] Children's cycling event "Children's Step-Up Challenge★" held to foster motor skills while playing.
In recent years, it is said that children have fewer opportunities to experience diverse physical movements due to a decrease in outdoor play and changes in lifestyles.
Amidst these circumstances, the pump Track facility "PIST6 PUMPTRACK CHIBA (hereinafter PPC)" located within the lawn area of Chiba Park held the "Children's Step-Up Challenge★" cycling event, aimed at fostering athletic ability through play, in two sessions, "Flat Course Edition" and "Course Edition," over two days on June 13th (Sat) and 14th (Sun), 2026.
This event is held once or twice a month. It is a program that systematically organizes the techniques necessary for riding on a pump Track, allowing you to check your current level and identify areas for improvement.
The children used a "Step-Up Challenge Sheet" that summarized the skills and challenges necessary for riding on a pump Track, and tackled the challenges in a stamp rally format. In the process, they developed their sense of balance, body control, and core strength.

Motor skills are nurtured through play.

A pump Track is a course where you accelerate by "pumping," which is moving your body up and down.
While riding, children need to use their whole body to maintain balance while controlling the bicycle, which naturally helps them develop essential motor skills (coordination abilities) that are important during a child's developmental stage, such as core strength, balance, rhythm, and body control.
Coordination ability refers to the ability to move one's body as one intends, and it is the foundation of all kinds of movement, such as running, jumping, throwing, and changing direction. Improving this ability is said to be useful not only in cycling, but also when trying various sports such as baseball, soccer, and basketball.
In "Step Up Challenge★," children can learn these movements step by step, allowing them to improve their motor skills while having fun.

In the flat course (held on June 13th), participants will learn basic bicycle operation on a flat surface, aiming to acquire fundamental techniques necessary for pump Track riding, such as standing pedaling and up-and-down body movements.
Participants who complete the flat course will be able to participate in the course course (held on June 14th). In the course course, participants will put the techniques they learned in the flat course into practice on an actual pump Track, aiming to master riding techniques such as pumping.
*Both the flat course and the regular course require advance reservations.

You receive a stamp each time you complete a task. A key feature of this event is that your progress is visualized, allowing you to feel a greater sense of accomplishment as you move on to the next step.
It was a huge success, selling out immediately.
Step Up Challenge★ is a popular event held regularly, once or twice a month. Each time, reservations fill up quickly, and most sessions are fully booked. This latest event also saw a large number of applications, demonstrating the high level of interest from children and their parents.
This event was for elementary school students, but we also offer "Adult Step-Up Challenge★" in "Flat Course Edition" and "Course Course Edition" for middle school students and older!
We look forward to your challenge.
In addition to the "Step-Up Challenge★" held on weekends, PPC also offers "After-School Pump Track!" held on weekdays. "After-School Pump Track!" is a continuous participation program that combines level-based instruction by instructors with course usage. From beginners to intermediate levels, it allows each individual to aim to improve their skills according to their progress.
We are currently recruiting participants and provide an environment where children can continuously grow, from those trying pump Track for the first time to those aiming to further improve their skills.

A place where challenges and interactions are born.

PPC is a place where many children and their parents gather regularly to enjoy cycling. Some users visit several times a week, and one of its distinguishing features is its high repeat customer rate.
At this event, the children tackled challenges according to their skill levels, happily honing their abilities while collecting stamps. Even after the event ended, some were seen continuing to practice on the course, creating an environment that encourages them to take on new challenges.
PPC is committed to creating a community space where children can gather safely, take on challenges, and grow, serving as a "third place" distinct from school or extracurricular activities.
