Kazushige Kuboki won the 4km individual pursuit at the 73rd All Japan Professional Cycling Championships in 2026.
On May 25, 2026, at the 73rd All Japan Professional Cycling Championships held at Takeo Keirin-jyo in Saga Prefecture, Kazushige Kuboki (Fukushima, 119th class, S2 / TEAM UKYO), a JPF Co., Ltd. sponsored athlete, competed in the 4km individual pursuit and won with a new tournament record of 4 minutes 28.672 seconds. This marks Kuboki's second consecutive victory at the tournament.

"Leading up to the All Japan Professional Championships, I was too conscious of what others were doing, but just before the race, my mentor, Yuta Sunaga, told me to 'aim for a new tournament record,' which clarified my goal. Thanks to that, I was able to focus on the race and I'm happy that I was able to win with a new tournament record."
However, I started to get a little anxious with one lap to go, and I also identified areas for improvement. I will continue to challenge myself to run even better in the future. He competed in the omnium at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
