On the day of the event, approximately 530 cyclists from within and outside the prefecture participated. Many participants gathered at Dream Stadium Toyama from early in the morning, making it a hub where people who enjoy Cycing sports could come together and interact.
As management of Koei Kyogi venue of Toyama Keirin-jyo, JPF worked in cooperation with the organizers and related organizations to prepare Keirin-jyo, which serves as the start and finish point, and to manage the venue on the day of the race.

Starting from Toyama Keirin-jyo, we'll travel from Toyama Bay to the World Heritage site of Gokayama.

"Gran Fondo Toyama 2026" is a cycling event themed "Well-being through cycling! From Toyama Bay at sea level to the World Heritage site of Gokayama," where participants can cycle through the unique nature and scenery of Toyama Prefecture, including the Toyama Bay coastline, the Tonami Plain, and the World Heritage site of Ainokura village.

Dream Stadium Toyama served as the start and finish point, and multiple courses were set up to suit participants' running abilities and goals.

The long course took us through places like Kaiomaru Park, Shogawa Water Memorial Park, the World Heritage site of Ainokura settlement, Toga, Yao, and Joganji, utilizing a route that takes advantage of Toyama's unique topography, stretching from Toyama Bay to the mountainous areas.

In addition, a middle course, cycling course, family course, and cycle train were also provided, allowing a wide range of participants, from road bike enthusiasts to families, to enjoy cycling at their own pace.

At the finish line, participants were given the special opportunity to complete a lap around the Toyama Keirin-jyo before crossing the finish line, providing a unique and enjoyable experience only possible at Keirin-jyo.

Pre-events utilizing Keirin-jyo facilities will also be held the day before the race.

On the day before the tournament, events were held utilizing the facilities of Dream Stadium Toyama.
Activities aimed at promoting safe cycling included accommodation at the lodging facilities used by cyclists during Keirin, bicycle safety workshops, a 33.3m balance beam challenge, and bicycle safety awareness campaigns.

The event, which utilized the unique facilities of Keirin-jyo, provided participants with an opportunity to experience a side of Keirin-jyo that they don't usually get to see.

The role of Keirin-jyo in supporting Cycing sports and community interaction.

As a company responsible for management of Koei Kyogi venue of Keirin-jyo, JPF supports the safe and smooth operation of the facilities and works in cooperation with local communities and related organizations to ensure that Keirin-jyo become more familiar to a wider audience and serve as places that connect with the local community.

In addition to contributing to local finances, Keirin business also plays a role in promoting the machinery industry, including bicycles, and in promoting sports and other businesses aimed at improving the public good.

Dream Stadium Toyama has been continuously used as the start and finish point for Gran Fondo Toyama, and this time too, it was used as the start and finish venue for Gran Fondo Toyama 2026, as well as the venue for the pre-event activities. In addition, an "Adventure Area" where children can become familiar with bicycles has been set up near the finish gate, and it is used as a place for local people to visit even when there are no Keirin.

Through this continued use of the facility, it provides an opportunity to convey that Keirin-jyo is a facility highly compatible with Cycing sports and also functions as a place for community interaction.

Regarding this initiative, Yusuke Yoshida, Executive Officer of JPF Co., Ltd., said the following:
"JPF has been involved with the Gran Fondo Toyama Executive Committee for many years, working together with the local community to create this event. Currently, we are also in charge of preparing the start and finish venues."

Since 2011, we have changed the start and finish point to Toyama Keirin-jyo, and we continue our efforts to utilize Toyama Keirin-jyo not only as a venue for Koei Kyogi, but also as a place for cyclists to gather and experience the charm of Toyama. Participants also enjoy the unique experience of finishing Keirin-jyo by completing one lap around the track. We will continue to utilize Toyama Keirin-jyo as a place open to the community.
