Kazushige Kuboki, a gold medalist in the scratch event at Track World Championships and active as Keirin rider and road racer, with whom we have a support contract starting in 2025, visited our company to share his enthusiasm ahead of the World Championships.

President Shuntaro Watanabe (left) and Kazushige Kuboki (second from the left) talk about their enthusiasm.

"Over the past four years, I've been able to achieve solid results at the World Championships, and I've gotten a better grasp of how to improve my condition. I'm confident I can win. However, this year there has only been one World Cup leading up to the World Championships, so there are still some unknowns about the feel of the race and the condition of the other national athletes. Even so, I'm in very good shape, and I really want to run quickly. This year I'll be competing in the team pursuit, omnium, and madison. I'm particularly aiming for the gold medal in the omnium, which is an individual event. Despite my injury, I'm able to stay focused, so I hope everyone looks forward to it," said this powerful comment.
Track Cycling Cycling World Championships will be held in Santiago, Chile from Wednesday 22nd to Sunday 26th October 2025.
Please support Kuboki and the rest of the Japanese national team!

[Mr. Kuboki and the JPF Scholarship]
Kuboki will also serve as an ambassador for the JPF Scholarship Program from fiscal year 2025.
The purpose of this system is to support athletes in balancing their studies and sports while devoting themselves to cycling and building a future career.

Currently, three university rider are working hard every day toward their respective goals as JPF scholarship recipients. The presence of Kuboki competing on the world stage is a great encouragement for the scholarship recipients and a driving force behind their continued challenges. We are currently recruiting for the second batch of recipients.
